Information package for designers

We're glad you're interested in joining our site!

Here are the most important things you should know when considering joining us.

What do you get when you join the site?

  1. When you join the TaidonTupa designers, you get a platform to sell your craft patterns without the work involved in running and marketing an online store.
  2. You only pay 30% per pattern sold, and we handle everything else for you!
  3. You get passive side income with little effort.
  4. Joining costs nothing, and you are not committed to anything. You can remove your products from the site whenever you want.
  5. The copyright for your self-made pattern remains with you, and you can sell your patterns on as many other platforms as you wish. If you have received assistance from TaidonTupa with the visual editing of the pattern, then the sale of that specific pattern is only allowed on the TaidonTupa site.
  6. You can list as many patterns for sale on the site as you wish.
  7. You receive valuable customer feedback and customer references. A request to review your pattern will be sent to every purchasing customer.

What is expected of you to join?

  1. You must have a business ID (Y-tunnus) or operate as a light entrepreneur to ensure tax matters are handled correctly and in accordance with Finnish law.
  2. The craft pattern to be sold will be checked for quality assurance. The pattern must be in PDF format.
  3. You have tested the functionality of the pattern to be sold, either with the help of a test group or otherwise ensured that the end result is as expected when following the pattern.
  4. You must photograph the finished product and provide the images to TaidonTupa for use as product images in the online store. The copyrights naturally remain with you.
  5. You must write an introductory text about yourself and provide it to TaidonTupa along with a self-portrait.
  6. You must determine the price for your product. The commission is 30% per pattern sold, which covers the costs of the online store and marketing.
  7. You must handle invoicing according to the sales report we send you. The minimum invoice amount is €50. If the monthly invoice amount does not exceed €50, the designer can invoice sales from multiple months with one invoice.
  8. You must respond to customer inquiries about the pattern at the email address you provided to the site.

Other information

  1. Behind the TaidonTupa site is a professional in digital marketing and e-commerce, so you can trust that things will be handled professionally and that the e-commerce platform will operate 24/7.
  2. TaidonTupa has its own social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest, where your products will be advertised.
  3. TaidonTupa will be developed into a community, rather than just an online store.
  4. You can participate in building the community if you wish, for example, by sharing TaidonTupa's posts and possibly acting as a guest blog post writer.
  5. We welcome development suggestions and ideas for creating the community and improving the online store. 😊
